Skidden Cottage is a charming, centuries old, two bedroomed granite cottage right in the heart of St Ives. The cottage is situated centrally in St Ives offering a perfect location from which to base your holiday and explore this unique town. St Ives' beaches, galleries and attractions are all within easy reach of the cottage which provides an ideal base from which to explore this old fishing town described as the jewel in Cornwall's crown.

The cottage provides basic, 'no frills' accommodation which consists of:
- Sitting / dining room with table and four chairs, small three piece suite, TV with Freeview and DVD player and a sideboard with an eclectic selection of cutlery and crockery;
- Small kitchen with electric cooker, fridge and microwave;
- Large bedroom with one double and one single bed;
- Small bedroom with one single bed;
- Bathroom and separate lavatory.
- The cottage is centrally heated with constant hot water.
- There is a small courtyard garden at the rear of the property and a parking space for one car in the small parking area behind the cottage.
- Small, well-behaved pets can be accommodated.

Skidden Cottage is perfectly situated for a holiday in St Ives, just one minute away from the sea and five minutes walk from Porthminster beach with its beautiful sand and safe bathing. Porthmeor beach is better for surfers and is only a ten minute walk from the cottage.
The coastal path provides walks with spectacular scenery. I like to catch the bus to Zennor or Gurnard's Head and walk back to St Ives, or take the car to Godrevy and walk to Hell's Mouth (passing a cove at the foot of the cliffs where there are always basking seals).
For the art lover, the Tate Gallery is ten minutes walk from the cottage and, along with the Hepworth Garden, it is well worth a visit.
If you wish to explore further, St Michael's Mount, Land's End, Sennen Cove and the Minnack Theatre at Porthcurno are within easy reach of St Ives.

Skidden Cottage is situated only a few minutes walk away from St Ives' main bus and train station which offer national bus and train links. St Ives train station is served by the picturesque St Ives Bay Line from St Erth, which is on the Penzance to Paddington line. Newquay Airport is less than an hour away from the cottage.
To get to Skidden Cottage from the Malakoff bus station, head into town and take the first right down Skidden Hill. The cottage is half way down the hill on the right.
From St Ives train station, walk through the car park and up to the bus station. Follow the road for 100m and turn right down Skidden Hill.
By car, leave the A30 at St Erth and drive for 5 miles through Lelant and Carbis Bay and into St Ives. The road forks outside the Harbour Hotel & Spa; cross the junction past the Hotel and follow this road past the bus station. The road narrows and there is a church on your right. Take a sharp right down Skidden Hill. Half way down Skidden Hill is Skidden Cottage with the car park to the rear (just before the road becomes one way).
